As an extension of the Serengeti plains, it is here where the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra takes place once a year between the months of August and October. Also home to the “Big five” the Masai Mara is considered one of the most exciting game reserves in Africa. There are a good number of birds too. The next game drive takes you to a different area, depending on where your guide feels you have the best chances of seeing exceptional wild- and birdlife. A suggestion may be to take box lunch with you and spend the day away from camp/lodge. The order of your days may differ, but one thing is guaranteed -- you will see lots of mammals, birds, and other wildlife. The variety of birdlife in the Mara is amazing and birders will be delighted identifying the different species available. Overnight at Mara Sarova / Simba Lodge with all meals included.
